Thomas Bunty Obituary
late John and Patricia (Kain) Bunty, Tom is survived by Nancy L. (Ritz) Bunty, his loving wife of 58 years.
Also survived by his daughters Cynthia (Patrick) Kelly and Kristie (Bryan) Zises and grandchildren Thomas,
Nora, and Ingrid Kelly and Henry and Lucy Zises. Originally from McSherrystown, PA, Tom served in the
U.S. Army in Japan. After returning home, he graduated from Gettysburg College and earned an MBA at
Penn State University. Tom moved to Pittsburgh to pursue a successful career with PPG Industries,
retiring after 37 years of excellent service. An avid golfer, gardener, runner, and sports fan, Tom will be
remembered for his love, kindness, intelligence, and genuine interest in everyone he met. Tom always
had good advice and knew what to do to help and support those around him. His family will cherish all
the wonderful memories of summer vacations at the Myrtle Beach house and special times and perfect
holidays at Grandpa and Grandma's house. Tom's life, well lived, leaves a beautiful legacy reaching far
into the future, not only affecting the lives of those he knew and loved, but also causing them to pass his
positive attitude, love, and caring ways on for generations to come, as we honor him by sharing the gifts
he's always freely given to us. Friends received Monday, April 24, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Simons
Funeral Home, 7720 Perry Highway, www.simonsfuneralhome.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
held on Tuesday, 10:00 am, at St. Teresa of Avila Church - Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 1000 Avila Ct..
