Thomas Conrad Obituary

Age 69 of Shaler Township passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024 with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 41 years to Sharon Conrad, cherished father of Brian Conrad. Tom was the son of the late Earl and Eileen Conrad. He is survived by his siblings Janice (John ) Haltigan, Judy Enz and Jack Enz, David (Maureen) Conrad, loving Aunt Donna Conrad, cousin Kevin Conrad and many other cousins. Beloved uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was godfather to numerous godchildren. Tom was a 1973 graduate of Central Catholic High School. Known for his many sayings and sense of humor, he set the greatest example of fighting the good fight. Tom was an avid golfer and loved spending time with family and friends. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday October 26, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at All Saints Church, 19 Wilson Street, Etna, PA. 15223

I was devastated to read of Tom's passing when I received the announcement of the upcoming Alumni Mass of Remembrance at Central Catholic, from where Tom and I both graduated back in 1973. Long before that, we spent eight years together in grade school at Saint Joe's in Bloomfield, while growing up in a tight-knit community, only a block away from each other.
My work took me far away from Pittsburgh for several decades, but after my return a few years ago, I got back in touch with Tom and would call periodically to see how he was doing. In my mind's eye, I still see him in countless places every time I'm in the old neighborhood. A flood of memories too numerous to recount here will ensure that Tom will never be forgotten.
May he rest in peace.

Sharon, I am so sorry to hear this news. Tom was such a great guy!! His great smile and twinkling eyes! He was always so friendly and helpful to Jay and me. We will always have very fond memories of such a wonderful man. Our sincere condolences to you and your family.Rest in Peace, Tom. .....
