Thomas Spencer Fulgham

Thomas Spencer Fulgham was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on March 14, 1943 to the late Naomi and Cecil Fulgham. He was the youngest of two children. In 1956, he and his family moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Thomas attended the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and graduated from East High School in 1961. Thomas met and later married Doris Howard on August 8, 1965. From that union two children were born, Duane Thomas and Traci Denise.
Thomas worked at Krogers where he worked in the distribution center. After that, he began working at Stouffers. Through his full time employment with Krogers and Stouffers, he always maintained a part time position with the hospital. Thomas worked at Brentwood Hospital which eventually became South Pointe Cleveland Clinic. He worked in the Environmental Services Department, specifically in the ER, and was affectionately called "granddad" by many of his teammates. He loved his job and considered his colleagues to be like family. Thomas retired in 2019, but enjoyed his job so much that he came back as a part time employee. Thomas received a certificate of recognition from Cleveland Clinic for 50 years of dedicated service. He was also recognized as the oldest active employee.
Thomas had many interests. At an early age he began his love of automobiles. He was truly a car guy! He also loved spending time with his family, playing cards, picking numbers and playing the lottery. Prior to COVID, Thomas enjoyed traveling. He thoroughly relished his visits back to his hometown of Williamson, West Virginia. He also loved spending time with his numerous dogs over the years including his most recent 200 lb. Rottweiler Bullmastiff mix, Armstrong.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Naomi and Cecil Fulgham. He is survived by his two children, Duane T. Fulgham and Traci D. Adeen (Rahman); 1 sister; Elizabeth Parks; 4 grandchildren; Courtney Elston, Khaleel R. Adeen, Jason Elston and Kailin K. Adeen as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
