Tom attended St. Xavier High School and St. Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. He served in the US Navy Air Corp. Tom worked as a credit manager at General Motors Acceptance Corp. where he retired after 38 years of employment. He also was a member of St. Thomas Church in Ft. Thomas for more than 60 years. He especially liked golf.
Tom was born June 10, 1931 in Cincinnati, OH to Elmer Glatthaar and Kathleen (Dew) Glatthaar. He was preceded in death by his sister Joan (Vince) Stoner and brother Don Glatthaar.
Tom is survived by his wife of 68 years, Martha Lew (Pierce) Glatthaar, daughters: Sandy (Kevin) Rolf, Cindy (Harvey, dec.) Heckman, Pam (Kelly) Read, Angie (Greg) Smorey, and Amy (Jeff) Sloan. In addition, brother Jim (Gelaine) Glatthaar, sister Jan Glatthaar, sister-in-law Kitty Glatthaar, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 4, at St. Thomas Church, Ft. Thomas. Mass of Christian Burial immediately following, officiated by Fr.Ross Kelsch. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Memorials suggested to St. Thomas Church, 26 E. Villa Place, Ft. Thomas, KY 41075.
