Thomas, of Shaler Twp., passed away on June 5, at age 77. Tom was a wonderful brother and a good person. He worked for Hartford Insurance his entire career, as a Loss Control account executive, mainly in their Manhattan office. While working, he lived in Brooklyn when he wasn’t visiting us here at home in Shaler. He graduated from North Catholic high school in 1964, and Gannon University in 1968 with a political science degree, where he belonged to ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps). He served in the US Army in Air Defense Artillery. Afterwards, he served in the Army Reserve and New York National Guard for many years. He ultimately achieved the rank of Major. Tom was preceded by his parents, Tom and Marie, who passed in 2002 and 2011 respectively, and brother Gary, in 2017. He is survived by his brothers Ron and Eric, also niece Carrie Ann, great-nephew Michael, great-nieces Melanie and Tessa, and many cousins. Visitation will be held at Saint Nicholas Church, Millvale, on Thursday June 13 starting at 9:30 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 11 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon at Remo's Banquet Hall at 2151 Babcock Blvd.
