Thomas "Tommy" A. Guglielmetti, 64, of Sterling, CT, passed away suddenly, Monday, February 10, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Martha M. (Cummiskey) Guglielmetti.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Domenic and Anne (Healey) Guglielmetti.
Tommy was a Police Officer for the University of Rhode Island for 42 years. After retirement from URI, he took on the role as safety officer for Sterling Community School. He found great joy in serving his community and he had a lasting impact on those he had connected with. He was very family-oriented, he loved spending time with his family, even coaching his children in all different sports. Tommy and his wife moved to Sterling, CT, where they began breeding Labradoodles.
Tommy was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose life was defined by his unwavering love, generosity and his unmatched ability to fix anything. He was a man of few words but infinite wisdom. He valued hard work, integrity and the importance of family above all else.
He was the cherished father of Nicole Guglielmetti, Cassandra Kahrimanovic (Damir), and Ryan Guglielmetti (Katie). Stepfather to Ryan Young (Jennifer), Patrick Young, Quinton Young and the late Conor Young. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dylan Gerlack, Conor Guglielmetti, Emily Guglielmetti, and Luka Kahrimanovic. Tommy was the brother of Nancy Guglielmetti (Don Braswell) and the late Michael Guglielmetti.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, February 18 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM with a Memorial Serving beginning at 12 Noon at the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
