Thomas Hughes, 65, of North Branch, died December 24th, 2024 at home.
Thomas was born April 12, 1959 to Emmet and Dorothy (Green) Hughes in New Brighton, Minnesota. He attended school in White Bear Lake and after finishing vocational school, spent 39 years working for Buerkle Honda in White Bear Lake. He married the love of his life, Jody, on March 1st, 1997. He was a dedicated and loving stepfather to Kaija and Nicholas and he cherished his family deeply.
Thomas was recently retired and enjoyed wood-working, boating at the cabin, and spending time with family. He was extremely dedicated to his grandchildren and could be found spectating their activities and sports every week. In the winter, he enjoyed traveling to warm destinations with his wife. Thomas was a member at Eagle Brook Church, and felt blessed to develop meaningful friendships with members of his weekly bible study.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Emmet Hughes.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Jody; siblings Kathy (Nalani McCutcheon) Sandberg, Robert (Jodie) Hughes, Chuck (Joni) Hughes; children Kaija (Eric) Youngner, Nicholas (Dani) Wilson, and grandchildren Amelie, Linden, Emmet, and Sophie.
Celebration of Life for Tom will be held 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2024 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
