My condolences to Tom's family. Tom and I were best of buddies at St. Matthew grade school in Wilmington and were classmates at Salesianum HS. Tom and I spend many weekends in 7th & 8th grades walking several miles to the local bowling alley (imagine that today) to "hone our games." And any number of summer weekends prowling the sands at Seaside & Ocean City NJ with "Sarge" Higgins and crew during our four HS summer years.
As happens too often, Tom and I didn't cross paths again, as he went N to college as I went S. Tom was a great friend to me all those formative early years of grade school and HS, and a great influence on me.
I am so delighted to hear he led such a wonderful life, getting to share all those years with family. My wife and I share our 50th anniversary next year while "Sarge & Bonnie" are enjoying their 57th!
Family is everything. So glad Tom lived such a full life.
