Thomas L. Meeker, 66, of Bellefonte, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on September 21, 1958, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Marvin T. Meeker and Mildred L. (Baney) Meeker of Bellefonte.
Tom attended the Bellefonte Area High School. After school, he enlisted with the US Army. Following his military service, he operated heavy equipment and worked at Brother's Pizza in Centre Hall for over 15 years.
Tom enjoyed listening to music and working on vehicles. He enjoyed teaching welding to his children that wanted to learn. Although he was a bit of a loner, private person, the hours spent working at Brother's were some of his favorite times. He was quiet but when you got to know him you discovered he had a sense of humor and was always available to help family. He was strong-willed and a bit stubborn at times but when push came to shove, he was there when needed.
Along with his mother, Tom is survived by his three children, Shawn Meeker (Alexis) of Martinsburg, PA, Nycole Meeker of Howard, and Christie Meeker of Bellefonte; four grandchildren, Shawn McCloskey, Addelynne Haines, Allyson Haines, and Emersynn Shawley; and five siblings, Lou Conklin (Donald) of Bellefonte, James Meeker (Susan) of Bellefonte, Marvin Meeker of Johnstown, Nita Meeker (Jed) of Centre Hall, and Tammy Mitchell (Rob) of Beech Creek.
Following Tom's wishes, there will be no public services at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hope's Dream Rescue & Sanctuary, PO Box 433, Howard, PA 16841 or to the Hundred Cat Foundation, PO Box 10, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc in Milesburg, PA. An online guest book can be signed, or you may post your condolences to the family at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com
