Thomas "Tommy" Eugene Morrison, a devoted son, brother, hardworking dock loading specialist, and forklift operator passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 55 in Madison, FL. Born on September 13, 1969, in Valdosta, GA, Tommy lived a simple yet meaningful life that touched the hearts of many.
He served in the United States Army for eight years as the tank operator. Tommy was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in the everyday - especially in the music of Southern Gospel that he cherished dearly. Raised listening to this uplifting genre of music, it became a source of solace and happiness for him. Tommy had a special connection to Gospel concerts, where he would revel in the melodies and spend precious moments with his family, particularly his brother Mark. He loved watching football at the Doak Campbell stadium, to cheer on his favorite team the Florida State Seminoles. He loved watching his team so much that he had seasonal tickets and went to every game. He was a dedicated church member of Unity Baptist Church and attended faithfully and even attended the last day of his life.
Despite the challenges of life, Thomas approached his work as a dock loader at CJB Warehouse with dedication and integrity. His strong work ethic and commitment left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a passionate connoisseur of excellent food.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Marcus Morrison and Dorothy Morris.
He is survived by his brother, Mark Morrison; and his two aunts, Tommy Oliver and Mary Pulliam.
A Celebration Memorial will be held at a later date.
While Thomas may have departed from this world, his spirit will continue to resonate through the memories and moments shared with his loved ones. In his quiet strength and unwavering love for music, Thomas leaves behind a legacy of happiness and kindness that will never be forgotten. May he rest in eternal peace.
