Beloved husband, father, and brother passed away peacefully on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. He was 69 years old. Born on December 30, 1955, in Saginaw, Michigan, Tom was the son of the late Elmer and Helen (Bell) Peak. A proud lifelong resident of Saginaw, Tom was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his family and community. He devoted 35 years of service to General Motors, where he retired as General Foreman. On November 29, 1997, Tom married the love of his life, Rena Chapman, who survives him. Together, they built a life grounded in love, laughter, and shared passions.
Tom found great joy in the outdoors-whether he was perfecting his lawn, enjoying a round of golf, or gathering around a bonfire with friends. A music lover at heart, he cherished attending concerts and listening to his favorite songs. He was also a loyal viewer of Fox News and enjoyed keeping up with current events.
Tom leaves behind his cherished wife, Rena; his brothers and sisters-in-law Alyce Korthals, Jacob (Anne) LeHenky, and Michelle (Scott) Krenz. A son, Nathan Peak; two sisters, Kathi (Robert) Rivard and Pat (Rich) Sheldon. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and his faithful canine companion, Layla. Tom was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Robert Chapman and Michael Korthals.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Tom on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., Saginaw (between Shattuck and McCarty). Honoring Tom's wishes, cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to express their sympathy are asked to consider a memorial contribution to Disabled American Veterans.
