Thomas F. Roberts, 91, of Columbus, passed away on June 19, 2023 at the Laurel's of Columbus West. His wife was by his side. He was born November 1, 1931 to the late Isaac and Geneva (Armstrong) Roberts. Tom graduated from West High School in 1950. He married Nancy Kelley on August 29, 1953.
Tom worked as a typesetter for Yeager Typesetting for 31 years. He later worked for the J Fred Phening Company until retirement in 1993. Tom was a volunteer firefighter for Prairie Township Fire House in New Rome from 1953-1981. He then volunteered at Doctor's West Hospital for 36 years.
Tom Loved his family, and taking care of his lawn. He didn't care to travel, but when he did, he always had a great time, and enjoyed relaying that to others. Tom also loved to tinker around the house, a natural born handyman. The things he fixed or built were made to last.
Tom is survived by his wife Nancy, his beloved dog Piper, his daughters Janet Roberts, and Melanie (Mike) Yaufman, daughter in law Kelly Roberts, granddaughters Gabrielle (Matt) Vandermeer, Mariah (Stephen) Anderson, Haley (Mike) Hladik, grandson Zachary Yaufman, and baby Anderson. Tom is preceded in death by his son Dennis Roberts (2014).
Per his request there will be no services. Cremation by Shaw-Davis Funeral Home in Clintonville.
