Thomas Robert Rowland, 69, of Farmington passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024. He was born in Minneapolis, MN to John and Mary Rowland and he was a graduate of DeLaSalle High School. He was united in marriage to Doris Erkkila on June 23, 1984. He worked as a courier most of his life before retirement.
Tommy was most passionate about music. He loved playing his guitars, singing songs and listening to his favorite bands, most notably The Who. He had a man cave out back of the house where he loved playing music, watching TV and playing darts with friends. He was a big Minnesota Twins fan. He also liked to watch the Minnesota Vikings, playing pool and fishing. He first learned how to filet a fish in the basement of his Finnish mother-in-law's. Tom and Dorie enjoyed many years together at their camper having bon fires and hanging out with friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Doris; daughter Mya Rowland of Farmington, brother Peter (Sue) Rowland of Bloomington; sister Jean (Glenn) Rowland of Charlotte, NC as well as nieces and nephews. Also survived by his loyal kitty Peanut and Grand Puppy Jack. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Mary (Norton) Rowland; sister Ann. A Celebration of Life open house will be held at the family home in Farmington on September 27, 2024 from 1-4pm with a short celebration service at 3pm. Address – 17610 Evenfall Ave W, Farmington, MN 55024.
