Thomas R. Smith

Thomas R. Smith, born on May 27, 1968, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on October 21, 2025. His courage and strength were obvious to all who knew him. His fighting spirit stayed with him until the very end. He was a devoted family man, cherished friend, and honored veteran. Tommy graduated from Taylor High School and furthered his education at the University of Cincinnati. He proudly served his country in the United States Army's 1st Infantry Division, a testimony to his dedication and commitment.

Tommy found joy in grilling and cooking, often gathering friends and family around delicious meals. He relished weekends spent fishing, riding quads, and shooting at the gun range, but he considered his greatest pleasure to be the time spent with loved ones on camping trips and other family activities. His ability to create lasting memories will be deeply missed.

Tommy's pride in being a father to his children Kory (Sydney) Smith and Sierra (Tyler Schulten) Smith was one of his proudest accomplishments, alongside his military service and acceptance into West Point.

He is survived by his mother, Bev Smith; siblings Christine (Todd) Marallen, Cherie Ashworth, Kevin (Renee) Smith, and Donnie Smith; his former wife Sherry Kaeser; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles who will carry forward his memory.

Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Thomas M. Smith. His legacy of love, humor, and determination will resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on October 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home Delhi, located at 4619 Delhi Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45238.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
