He was born on March 27, 1954, in Bath, New York, to Lawrence and Hazel (Hamilton) Sutton.
Tom worked for 34 years at Polly-O Dairy, retiring in 2010 as a foreman. He was a dedicated worker and a proud member of the community.
A man of many passions, Tom enjoyed gardening and was an avid hunter. He was also musically inclined, he loved to play guitar and sing. Tom will be remembered as a selfless, loving, and caring man with strong convictions and a generous heart. He enjoyed holiday gatherings with family, and made sure he was present for all his family members life events.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Sutton; his children: Thomas C. (Maria) Sutton of Vancouver, BC, Aaron (Tina) McKay of Fort Wayne, ID, and Stacy Sutton of Campbell; stepchildren: Laura (Harold) Austin, Michelle (Robert) Schweiger, and Shawn (Tasheena) Nichols; grandchildren: Gabrielle, Andrew, Christian, Emelia, Eric, Hayley, Julia, Ethan, Bryant, Alyssa, Taylor, Alex, Allison, Ashley, Kalyn, Austin, Karissa, Taya, Cayden and Chase; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings: Lawrence (Phyllis) Sutton, Karen Warner, and Gail (Bill) Smith and several nieces and nephews.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Hazel Sutton; his brother, David Sutton; his stepson, Brian Nichols; and his nephew, Scott Chandler.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Carpenters Funeral Home has been entrusted with his final arrangements. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Thomas E. Sutton, please visit our Tree Store.
