Tim Alan Luebke left this world suddenly on January 26, 2022, at the age of 67 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Tim was born in Osgood, Ohio. Tim's family later moved to Troy, Ohio where he attended high school. Tim went to college and graduated from Wright State University with a B.S. Business Degree. Prior to attending Wright State, Tim attended Urbana University. During his time at Urbana, he was on the men's wrestling team where he earned the nickname "Tiger" a name that his friends still call him today. At the age of 20, Tim's life was forever changed when he suffered a spinal cord injury in an accident, leaving him a paraplegic. That didn't stop Tim from living his life to the fullest. Tim was on the men's wheelchair basketball team at Wright State. Tim also enjoyed whitewater rafting in Colorado, traveling to Florida in his van with his pal Lewellyn, and deer hunting and driving a 4-wheeler at his family cabin in the mountains of Virginia.
Tim had an illustrious career, working 34 years for the Defense Logistics Agency of the U.S. Government in Whitehall, Ohio. Tim retired in December, 2021.
Tim met his soulmate, Kim (Newton) in 1986 and they were married in 1989. Tim and Kim were inseparable for more than 30 years. Tim and Kim started their life together in Troy, Ohio and they later moved to Pickerington, Ohio in 1996. Tim was an avid sports fan who loved The Ohio State Buckeyes (Go Bucks!), the Super Bowl #56 bound Cincinnati Bengals (Who Dey!) and was a long time Columbus Blue Jackets season ticket holder (Let's Go Jackets!) Tim and Kim also enjoyed car racing and went to the Daytona 500, Brickyard 400, the Las Vegas 400 and the Indianapolis 500. Tim and Kim also loved to travel. Tim the "travel agent" booked various trips through the years to Hawaii, Key West, San Francisco, Niagara Falls, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Cooperstown, whale watching in Provincetown and deep sea fishing in St. Augustine to name a few. But Tim and Kim's most memorable trip was for their 25th wedding anniversary when they went to Texas. Starting in Memphis to Dallas to San Antonio to Austin to Galveston and ending in New Orleans.
Tim is survived by his best friend and wife, Kim; beloved dog, Braxton; sister, Connie Stucke and brother, Ron (Pattie) Luebke and many adoring nephews and nieces; along with many endearing friends. Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and June Luebke.
Tim had many friends and never met a stranger. Every person in the world was a friend he had not yet met. Tim will be greatly missed by his cherished family and friends. The family also wants to thank the incredible ICU nurses at Mt. Carmel East Hospital (especially Ethan) who worked so valiantly to take care of Tim.
There will be a celebration of Tim's life on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the Discovery Church in Gahanna, Ohio, 750 Cross Pointe Road, Suite L, 43230. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 4:00PM, with a service following at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Veteran Companion Animal Services at www.VCASCharity.org

I´m so very sorry to hear of Tim´s passing. I worked with Tim for many years in Dayton and Columbus. I admired him so much and enjoyed his sense of humor and zest for life. He spoke so fondly of his wife and family, I know your hearts are broken. May the good times bring you comfort. With deepest sympathy, Sherrie C
