Tim Torgler was born in Massillon, OH on January 23, 1949 to Paul and Dorothy Torgler and died on his 74
th
birthday after a two-year battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew, Cody Torgler, brother-in-law, Rich Muter and mother-in-law, Mary Muter McCollum Brooks.
Tim is survived by his wife Lynn; daughter, Christina (Clint); son, Darby; granddaughter, Jewelle; grandson, Cain; brothers, Terry (Joyce) and Tom (Annette) Torgler; special uncle, Don Torgler; sister, Debi (John) Patterson; nieces, Amanda (Kyle) McCort, Shayla (Mike) and Breanna (Erik) Torgler, Tiffany Torgler-Wingo; and nephews, Sean Patterson and Lance Torgler. Tim left behind his friends who meant so much to him, Del and Trish Clifford, John Lovelace, Keith Brenneman, Gary Howes, Tony Palombo andDale Trizzino and childhood friends Rusty and Dusty Dyak.
He was employed by Lovelace Painting; previously worked for Mohler Construction and the Hoover Company. In his early days, he was a lifeguard at Holiday Country Club and saved a toddler from drowning. He also was lead singer in three bands in the late 60s and early 70s.
A special thank-you to the doctors and staff at Tri County Hematology and Oncology for the care and compassion given to Tim for over two years. And one more thank you to his Google speaker for the sleep sounds and soothing music that comforted him 24-7.
Tim will be missed immensely by his family and friends. Per his request, no funeral services have been arranged. A memorial get-together is pending in the spring. Condolences and special memories of Tim can be shared with his family online at
