Tim had worked at Lima Pallett, where he spent contributed his skills. Outside of work, Tim had a deep passion for working on cars and repairing computers, always eager to fix and tinker whenever he had the time. A true Cleveland Browns fan, Tim could often be found rooting for his team, regardless of the season's outcome. In his quieter moments, Tim loved to fish, finding peace by the water whenever he could.
He is survived by his father and stepmother – Orville M. (Mary) Bates of Ottawa; 2 sons – T.J. (Anna Wood) Bates of Lima; Kyle (Brittney) Latimer of Ottawa; 3 grandchildren – Laura Bates, Melody Latimer, Carter Latimer; a brother – Greg (Kristina) Bates of Florida; a niece – Cayla Bates and a nephew – Michael Bates.
A celebration of life for Tim will be held at a later date.
