Timothy Terrell Crandell, who departed this life on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the age of 54. Timothy was a beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was known for his warm spirit, and unwavering love for his family. He was always cheerful and quite the comedian. Born on March 16, 1971, Timothy was a lifelong resident of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, but departed this life in Raleigh NC, where he touched the lives of many with his kindness and quiet strength.
Timothy was preceded in death by his loving mother Mary Isabell Strickland, his father James Edward Crandell, and his brother Kenneth Strickland.
He leaves to cherish his memories, eight devoted siblings: Tonya Johnson (Rodney) of Raleigh, NC, Zachary Crandell (Ulonda), Reatha Crandell (Anthony), Rev. Dr. Shantell Staton (Deacon Calvin), Zonda Crandell (Gary), Jamie Gay, Jasmine Crandell, and Stephen Davis, all of Rocky Mount, NC. He also leaves behind a legacy of love in his extended family, including: fourteen nephews, eight nieces, seven great-nephews, and six great-nieces, five aunts and four uncles all of whom were blessed by his presence and will carry his memory forward with honor.
A Visitation for Mr. Crandell will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 28, 2025, in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home located at 325 Nash Street in Rocky Mount, NC. The Interment will take place immediately after the service in the St. John Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Battleboro, North Carolina.
