Timothy Flynn Obituary

Timothy J. Flynn, age 67, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Mr. Flynn was born in Hartford, CT a son of the late James Edward Flynn and the late Ellen Ann Reynolds Flynn. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force and served as a police officer for the Town of Enfield, CT for 20 years. Following this, Mr. Flynn worked as a police officer for Eastern Connecticut State University for 10 years. Upon retirement, he and his wife Jan moved to South Carolina where they lived for 8 years.
Mr. Flynn loved his dogs, the Beatles, Star Trek, and enjoyed working with model planes. He was also an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. He will be most remembered as a loving and devoted husband as well as a generous and loyal friend.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Flynn was predeceased by a brother, Mark Flynn.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Jan Marie Flynn of Loris, SC; one sister, Megan Angell and her husband Stew of Springfield, MA; and two nieces, Quinn and Kelsea.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at the Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Loris. Burial will take place at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA at a later date.

I'm so sorry Jan. I worked with Tim at the PD from 1993 until he retired. What a beautiful human being. Always smiling and fun to talk to. I used to honk and wave at you guys while you all walked on Washington Rd after he retired while I was on patrol. I miss him, what gentleman. My sincerest condolences

Jan and Megan, I'm so sorry for your loss. Growing up Tim was always smiling and happy. I have memories of all the Thanksgiving, Christmas and July 4th holidays when we would get together as kids. He had a kind soul which was called back to Heaven way too early.

Jan and Megan, my thoughts and prayers are with you both. Tim fought as best he could. My fondest memories are of all of us as cousins together for Thanksgiving every year at Flynn´s home and Christmas at the Sullivans home. I am thankful to have so many cherished memories. Tim, always laughing, always smiling. May he Rest in Peace.
