Timothy Ray Newlin, age 62, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 4:11 AM - Sunday, May 18, 2025, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
Tim will be laid to rest near his Granddad Newlin at Fairfield Cemetery in Rural Gila, Illinois.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Meyer Funeral Home, Newton, Illinois. In loving memory of Tim, memorials may be mailed to the Jasper County Cancer Fund at PO Box 333, Newton, Illinois, 62448. Please visit www.meyerfh.com to view the full obituary and to give condolences to the family.
Timothy, better known as Tim, was born on July 1, 1962, in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Glen A. and Iris Jean (Buzzard) Newlin.
He attended Newton Community High School, graduating with the Class of 1980.
Tim grew up on the family farm, the place he now called home. Farming was in his blood; he went to work in the implement industry at the age of 15. First working at Jansen Brothers and finishing his career working alongside his brother at Newton Implement.
Tim is survived by-
Siblings- Jeffery "J.O." Newlin of Newton, Illinois; Jerry Newlin of Jewett, Illinois; Leah Newlin and Judy Newlin of Gila, Illinois.
Cousin- Cheryl and Gary Butcher, Nathan Butcher and Katie Greene
Faithful companions, his dogs Daisy and Big O
Tim was preceded in passing by his parents, grandparents several special cousins and dog Buddy.
