Timothy Patrick Smith, 67, of Huntington, New York, passed away on October 11, 2025.
Born and raised in Syosset, Long Island, Timothy spent his youth playing lacrosse and enjoying an active childhood with his three brothers and sister.
He began his career as a stockbroker eventually becoming a partner with a specialist firm and Floor Governor on the NYSE.
Timothy was a long time Huntington resident and loving father to his four children, Matthew, Patrick, Megan and Sarah Kate. He was blessed to become a grandfather to his three beloved grandchildren Hugh Smith, Emma Smith and Drew Perkerson.
Those who knew Tim remember his huge heart and unwavering kindness. He was the first to celebrate others’ milestones — often sending early-morning birthday or anniversary messages — and one of the last people you could count on to still handwrite cards and mail them with care. He coached many of his children’s youth sports teams and was loved by every kid lucky enough to know him.
He recently relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee, to be closer to his eldest daughter. He spent his time volunteering at his local parish.
Timothy is survived by his three brothers, Steve, Peter, and Christopher and his sister, Suzi.
He is now reunited in eternal life with his father, Hugh, and mother, Marian. May he rest in eternal peace.
A Prayer Service will be offered at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs at 10:00am on Saturday, November 29th
