It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Todd Joseph Darling, aged 69, on Friday, August 29, 2025. Todd was a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, who lived life with a sharp wit and a kind soul that touched everyone who knew him.
Born on April 21, 1956, in Port Chester, NY, Todd was the son of the late Doreen Lyons and Harry Darling. Growing up in Port Chester, Todd began to form friendships that would stay with him throughout his life. Over the years he shared hobbies such as sailing and rooting for his favorite Formula 1 team.
Todd graduated from Port Chester HS, and as he navigated the world, he lived in several places, each leaving its mark on him, from Maryland, to Finland, and back to New York, before settling in
Fairfield, CT.
On February 14, 2003, Todd married his soulmate, Lisa Brancaccio. Their love story was one of deep companionship, built on mutual respect, laughter, and shared dreams. Todd and Lisa enjoyed many adventures together, from quiet evenings at home to exciting trips abroad. Todd's love for Lisa was unwavering, and he found immense joy in celebrating life's special moments with her.
Todd's involvement in the community, especially in supporting family milestones and being present for nieces and nephews, left a lasting impression on those close to him.
Todd's personality was a blend of humor, warmth, and unapologetic wit. His sarcastic remarks were legendary, and his ability to make people laugh-even in the most challenging times-was a testament to his resilience and understanding of life's complexities.
Todd is survived by his devoted wife, Lisa Darling, and his siblings: Harry Darling III (Jeanne), Kristin Dominica (Ralph), Linda Brown (Radford/deceased), Scott Darling (Gina), and Megan Darling (Phil). Todd will be forever missed by his nieces and nephews, including Scott Rad Brown, Kate Darling, Eric Dominica, Derek Brown, Harry Darling IV, Lucas Dominica, Hanna Brown, Sean Darling, Alexa Darling, Rowan Bird, Johnny Brancaccio, Marco Brancaccio, Valentina Brancaccio and his mother in-law, Ann Neubauer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Todd's memory to Sound Affects, a Colorado-based organization that was near and dear to his heart. Sound Affects Music
The family also wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the exceptional team at CT Hospice and HHC/Cancer Center for their compassionate care and support during Todd's illness. To Todd's friends and family, your presence, love, and support meant the world to him, and he was eternally grateful for each of you.
In the words of Gabriel García Márquez, "What matters in life is not what happens to you, but what you remember and how you remember it." Todd's memory will live on in all of us, and we will remember him with love, laughter, and the deep appreciation of a life well lived.
