Todd Mark Green of Rome, Georgia, born October 31, 1961, passed away on October 20, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted father, grandfather, and friend, Todd's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children: Heather Johnson, Sierra (Green) Phillips, and Lucas Green; and his cherished grandchildren, Andrew "Drew" Phillips and Austin Phillips. Todd is also remembered by his beloved former wife and lifelong companion, Lauri Green. Preceded in death by his parents, Camilla Pierce and Charles Green, Todd is survived by his stepmother, June Green, and his siblings: Kim Hoppes, Allison Rowland, Adriane Robinson, and Barry Green, and several beloved nieces and nephews. He is also survived by dear friends, including Don Langston and Tommy Brown, with whom he shared many cherished memories.
In his early life, he was an exemplary student and athlete, participating in football, baseball, and basketball. He obtained his Masters degree in Electrical Engineering at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Georgia. Todd's career began in electrical engineering, where his intelligence and dedication shined. Later, he transitioned into real estate and appraisals as an entrepreneur, finding fulfillment in new challenges. Todd was a man of strong faith who lived life as a proud Christian. Among many other traits, he was also known for his work ethic, sense of humor, and everlasting positive attitude.
Beyond his professional life, Todd was a true outdoorsman with a passion for fishing and hunting. He enjoyed every opportunity to spend time in nature and was always ready for the next adventure. First and foremost, Todd was a family man. He took advantage of every opportunity to create memories with them. Todd found immense joy in watching his children play sports, especially soccer. He was involved in coaching his children and never missed a chance to cheer them on. Weekends were often spent with his family and longtime friends hunting, fishing, camping, attending soccer games, and watching football, combining two of his favorite pastimes-sports and family.
Todd's legacy is one of love, laughter, and hard work, and he will be remembered as a man who treasured the time spent with those he loved. His family and friends take comfort in knowing that his adventurous spirit and kind heart will live on in the memories they share and that he is truly at peace now.
A celebration of Todd's life will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta, Georgia. Visitation will be at 11:30 AM, followed by the service at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Todd's memory.
