Todd Lee Maxwell was born in Great Falls, MT on Sept 23, 1966 to Sharon Ann McGregor. Jerry Maxwell from Hueytown, AL. was serving on a base nearby when he met Sharon. They married and Jerry adopted Todd, moving both of them back to Alabama. Growing up, Todd played park baseball, school baseball, and football. He was one of the best baseball players in the league. He loved to hunt, fish, and grill enough for a small army. In 1991, Todd and Jesselyn met and later married in 1993. During this time Todd went to HVAC school at Bessemer Tech. It was here where he excelled. He loved trying to fix things and be the one that solved the harder problems.
During their marriage Todd and Jesselyn had two children, Jared & Tessa. He liked keeping the kids outside riding four wheelers, playing ball, going to the hunting club, and teaching them to fish. The peaceful country life style was what he enjoyed.
During the years he worked for several different heating and air companies but found his home at Trane. There he advanced to Senior Service Technician. He would not let you forget the Senior part of that title because he earned it!
Overall, Todd was a strong, helpful, and hard headed man who loved his family. He was loved by many people and appreciated all of the recent calls and visits he received. As much as we didn't want to let him go, we had to. It was time for him to move on and be strong again.
Todd is survived by children, Jared Maxwell (Lucy) and Tessa Maxwell; father, Jerry Maxwell; brother, Troy Maxwell and the mother of his children, Jesselyn Maxwell.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer, Al with Bro. Donnie Hicks officiating. There will be no visitation held prior to the service.
