Tommy Kay Blevins of Cecil, Arkansas, passed away surrounded with family and friends Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at his home. He was born on February 17, 1950, in Fort Smith Arkansas, to the late Benjamin Thomas Blevins and Wilma Faye (Rodgers) Blevins. He was 74 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Benny Blevins.
Tommy was a cowboy. He loved working on cattle ranches, riding horses, attending rodeos, and auctioneering at sale barns in the surrounding community. Tommy was a devoted family man and loved his family very much. He loved the Cecil community, which he referred to as "Heaven on Earth" and had many many friends. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Tommy attended Cecil Methodist Church.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 18th at Cecil Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Cecil Cemetery in Cecil, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandy (Andrews) Blevins; three daughters, Kimberly Nye and husband Ryan of Cameron, Oklahoma, Windi Acord and husband Scott of Cecil, and Shae Dietz and husband Marc of Ozark, his sister, Linda Blackwell of Alma; (7) grandchildren, Marleigh Dietz, Taelor Pendergraft and husband Drake, Keesler Nye, Dawson Dietz and fiancee' Carly Campbell, Tanner Acord, Keegan Nye and wife Emily, and Tallie Metzker and husband Trentin; (3) great-grandchildren, Huxley Metzker, Ezren Pendergraft, Ozzy Pendergraft, and one more on the way.
Pallbearers are Ryan Nye, Scott Acord, Marc Dietz, David Morris, Benny Lowrey, Marty Lowrey, Jay Billingsley, and Tracy Blackwell.
Honorary pallbearers are Glen Morris, Cecil Phillips, Cecil Terry, Don Sosebee, Cody Sosebee, and James McFerran.
The family will visit with friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Friday an hour prior to the service at Cecil Methodist Church.
