Tommy Ellis Obituary
Services: 12 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2023, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Mount Olivet Chapel in the Sandburg Suite.
Tommy was born Sept. 20, 1957, to Darrell and Bobbye Ellis, in Lubbock, Texas.
He had over 46 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Tommy started his career in 1976 with Tuboscope as a unit manager and over the years he worked his way up through the ranks as COO, Vice-President, and held numerous upper level management positions. He was a member of the, American Society of Non-Destructive Testing, and held a NDT Level III certification. He was also owner of Stellis Consulting which he started in 2011. Tommy's career took him all over the world where he experienced many of the world's wonders such as The Great Wall of China and the pyramids of Egypt.
Fishing was one of Tommy's favorite things to do, he loved to catch redfish and just being out on the water in a boat. Tommy's greatest joy in life besides fishing was being a "Pop-Pop: to his little man, and making his daughters laugh with bad dad jokes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law; Jimmy Blanton.
Survivors: Wife, Star Lynn Ellis; daughters, Tabby Eddleman, and Lara Schweitzer and husband, Matt; grandson, Luke Schweitzer; sisters, Traci Blanton, Staci Jones and husband, Danny, Marilyn Jones and husband, Bill; brother; Terry Ellis and wife, Cynthia; stepmother, Nancy Ellis; including numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I also worked with Tommy at ICO in Houston, but as a hand at the ultrasonic facility while he was supervisor. I also ran into him a few times in West Virginia when he was a Level III Inspector, most recently at Fairmont Tool. Rest In Peace my friend.

Tommy and worked together in Houston at ICO. Played on the softball team and on a bowling league. Rest in peace my friend. I´m glad we got to visit not long ago when I sent you the picture of us at the bowling league. My sincere condolences to the family.
