Tommy Gene Feemster, a retired vocational and auto collision repair teacher has passed away at the age of 80. Born on April 13, 1943 to the late, Mary Simoneaux Feemster and William Silas Feemster in Port Arthur, Texas, Tommy was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. He touched the lives of countless students during his impressive thirty-four-year tenure at Stillwell Technical Center for the P.A.I.S.D.
     Known for his dedication and passion for teaching, Tommy left an indelible mark on his students. He nurtured their talents and instilled in them a strong work ethic that would serve them well throughout their lives. Many of his former students went on to have successful careers in the automotive industry, a testament to Tommy's exceptional teaching skills.
     In addition to his admirable career as an educator, Tommy was a parishioner at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland and he also proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard for six years. His service was marked by bravery and sacrifice for his fellow countrymen.
     Outside of work and military service, Tommy had a deep love for his family. They were always his top priority, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Tommy's passion extended beyond family; he was an active member of the classic cars community. He delighted in attending various events with friends who shared his enthusiasm for vintage automobiles. Throughout his life, Tommy owned numerous classic cars, each representing not only beautiful pieces of machinery but also cherished memories shared with loved ones.
     Those left to cherish Tommy's memory include his loving wife of 53 years, Janice Feemster of Beaumont; son, Zachary Silas Feemster of Beaumont; four sisters, Phyllis Sandifur of Fannett, Sheryl Hebert of Nederland, Sandry LaGrone and Debbie Tompkins and her husband, Gary of Groves; brother, Ray Feemster and his wife, Georgia of Nederland.  
     A Memorial Service to celebrate Tommy's life will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Melancon~Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas. The service will commence at 4:00 PM and will be followed by a gathering until 7:00 PM at the same location. Friends, family, and former students are welcome to attend and pay their respects to this remarkable individual who touched so many lives.
     Tommy Gene Feemster lived a life worth celebrating. His dedication as an educator, his selfless service to his country, and his love for his family will always be remembered. May he rest in eternal peace knowing that he made a profound impact on the world around him.
