Dr. Thomas was a great man in many respects. It was because of him that I came to Mid-Del Public Schools to be superintendent. Not many people could have convinced me to leave the State Superintendency to go to a local school district, but that is the kind of influence that Dr. Thomas had on so many people. He was a wonderful school board member and a pleasure to work for and with. He did so much for Mid-Del schools as well as public education in general. His tireless efforts working for Impact Aid assisted so many schools nationwide. He had a tremendous influence on the National School Board Association, and was well known for his efforts in education nationwide. He certainly was one of the best school board members that I worked with in my years as a superintendent of schools, and he had a great impact on me in my career. Wyvonna and I thought so much of he and Julie Mae, and enjoyed being with them so much. I can truly say he is one of those individuals who I single out as having a great impact on my life. I will forever be grateful to him for his leadership, and his guidance. We love you Tony!

Dr. Thomas was one of my biggest supporters as a Board Member when I was Principal of Midwest City High School. He cared so much for the students, teachers, administration of the district. His knowledge of helping the district obtain Impact Aid was tremendous! We became good friends over the years. He cared for several of our dogs. He was truly a great man that I loved dearly. RIP good friend!

A quiet man who cared for everyone. He was a man who wanted the best for our schools, our teachers and the children not just in Midwest City but throughout the state of Oklahoma.
He will be missed but not forgotten.
