Treda Diana Phillips

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Treda Diana Phillips, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. Born on December 25, 1954, in Columbus, OH, Treda peacefully departed this life on October 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Treda was the beloved daughter of Mary Edna Carroll Harrington-Harding and Edwin Maurice Wingo. She was a caring mother to her children, Rika Phillips and Jerry Phillips Jr., and a devoted grandmother to her five grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Treda's memory will be forever cherished by her brothers, Richard Harding Jr. and Darryl Harding and her lifetime friend and former husband, Jerry Phillips Sr.

Having received her education at Columbus City Public Schools and graduated from Marion Franklin High School in 1973, Treda dedicated several years of her life as a compassionate home health aide with Reliable Healthcare. She found solace and community in her faith as a longstanding member of Trinity Baptist Church in Columbus, OH.

Treda's enduring spirit and kindness touched the lives of many, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Rika Phillips, her son, Jerry Phillips Jr., and a host of relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

Treda was preceded in death by: her parents, brothers, David Harrington, Ronald Wingo, and Edwin Wingo.

May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and prayers of her dear family and friends.
