Mrs. Treva Elevena Draughn Gough, 100, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025. She was born September 29, 1924 in Yadkin County to the late Brady Thomas Draughn and Effie Rochella Plowman Draughn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Harold Gough; a brother, Burley Thomas Draughn; and her sisters, Dorothy Draughn, and Gerthie Shore. Mrs. Gough graduated from Courtney High School. She was a member of Turners Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Gough was an excellent cook and she loved to crochet. She is survived by her sons, Harold Gray Gough, Billy Gene (Leslie) Gough; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Harvey Benjamin Draughn; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Scott Welch officiating. Burial will follow in the Turners Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thank you to, Charlene Nellis, Alice Shore, and Mtn. Valley Hospice for the loving care shown to Mrs. Treva. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yadkin VFW Post 10346, 3604 Price Rd, Hamptonville, NC 27020. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Gough family.
