Twila Gale Caudill, a beacon of love and joy, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, in Wayne, Michigan. Born on July 21, 1940, in McRoberts, Kentucky, to the late Allen and Ezell Bevins, Twila's early years were filled with the warmth of family and the charm of her hometown.
Twila's story took a romantic turn when she met her husband, Frank Caudill, at a party she had daringly snuck out to attend. Frank, who was on leave from the military, was immediately smitten with Twila. Their love story was one for the ages, culminating in a beautiful Christmas Eve wedding in 1955. Twila was resplendent in a turquoise pant suit, while Frank wore his military uniform with pride. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and two wonderful children, Jayne (Kenneth Faulkner) and Frank Jr (the late Barbara).
A devoted mother, Twila's love only grew with the addition of her grandchildren, Amanda (Albert), Don (Heather), Twila, Crystal (Joe), Samantha (Dusty), Tosha, and the late Frankie. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Kedrick (Mikala), Mark (Mackenzie), Haylee (Brent), Chelsea, Frank Jr., Addysenn, Zachary, Noah, Damien, Riley, Ashley (JT), Lilliana, Ella, Aliyah, Joe Jr., Heaven, Ayzie, Zaylie, and Easton, and great-great-grandchildren, Isabella, Kameron, Blake, Millie, Ariella, and one on the way to whom she was a cherished matriarch. Twila's family extended beyond her immediate kin, as she was a loving sister to Carter (Jennifer), Marshall (Faye), Sherri (Jerry), Debbie, and the late Jimmie, Kedrick "Rick," and Flona.
Twila's zest for life was evident in her numerous interests and hobbies. She was an avid bowler, participating in leagues and cherishing the camaraderie of the game. Her grand and great-granddaughters fondly remember the special tea parties she would host, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Twila's love for her family was also expressed through the joy of shopping trips with her grandchildren, where laughter and stories were shared in abundance.
Known for her generosity, Twila often provided snacks and food, ensuring that no one ever left her home hungry. She had a talent for card games, especially Rummy, which she taught to everyone in the family. Twila's voice was a comfort to many; she enjoyed singing to her loved ones and was also an adept storyteller, often making up tales that captivated the imaginations of young and old alike.
Twila's absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her. She was a woman who was always there for everyone, touching lives with her helpful nature and boundless love. Her legacy is one of joy, care, and the enduring power of family. Twila Gale Caudill will be remembered not only for the life she lived but for the love she gave so freely. She was well loved, and she will be deeply missed.
