Ustinjya M. Shahdanian

Ustinya (Tinjya) Marguerite (Margie) Shahdanian (Nalbandian), longtime resident of Old Tappan, most recently of Lincroft, NJ passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025.
Tinjya was a dedicated family woman. Her door was always open to visitors, including her children's friends, who were always welcome for dinner and a "show". She loved Christmas and spent many years as Mrs. Claus for the annual Women's Club Santa's breakfast. She always kept busy volunteering her time as a Brownie leader, a class parent, as well as with the Women's Club of Old Tappan and the Daughters of Vartan, Sahaganoush Otyag No. 24.
Tinjya loved her family more than anything. Predeceased by her beloved husband John L. Shahdanian. She is survived by her children: John L. Shahdanian II and his wife Kelly, Diana M. Cascone and her husband, John Scott and Mark H. Shahdanian and his wife Patricia. Cherished grandmother of John III, Alexander, Lauren, Gabriella, Nora, Sofia, Austin and Margaret.
Dear sister of Henry Nalbandian (Thalia), Walter Nalbandian (Nouvian), late Martin Nalbandian, and Nora Simonian (Joseph).
Aunt of Arthur, Matthew (Nina), Melissa (Brian), Gregory (Kelly), Christopher (Laura), Elizabeth (Peter), Adam, Joseph (Karine), Nairi (Marc), James and Tommy (Stephanie).
Family and friends are welcomed at Basralian Funeral Home, 559 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell, on Thursday, October 23rd from 4-8PM. Funeral services will be held at St. Leon Armenian Church in Fair Lawn on Friday, October 24th at 11AM. Interment following to George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
