Valerie Ann Putnam

Valerie Ann Putnam, age 53, of Bath, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 13, 2023 at home. She was born on October 10, 1970 in Corning, the daughter of the late Larry Putnam and Patricia (McHale) Putnam.
Valerie was a very caring and kind mother and she loved birthdays. She loved shopping, holidays, family time and was known for her ability to remember times and dates. Valerie was a good friend to others and she loved animals especially her cat, Sassy. She was supportive to others going through similar struggles.
She is survived by daughters, Samantha Axtell and Cindy (Jonas) Byler, son Joseph Putnam, sisters, Patricia Putnam, Monica (John) Youngs, and Melinda (Buck Pyles) Putnam, grandchildren, Chloe, Eliana, Troy, David, Achilles, and Ameila, half siblings, Melissa Putnam and Josh Putnam, step sister AgaJean Sarno. Valerie was predeceased by her mother, Patricia, her father, Larry, and her brother, Larry Putnam Jr.
Valerie's family would like to extend a special "thank you" to all the social workers, therapists, and doctors who worked with her over the years. Her life would not have been possible without you in it! If you struggle with mental health, please follow Valerie's lead and welcome these professionals in. They truly can make all the difference!
A celebration of Valerie's Life will take place at a later date.
Burial will take place at Addison Rural Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
