Valerie Yvette Ramos Spradling
It is with great sorrow that Valerie R. Spradling's family announces her passing on Friday, February 28, 2025 at the age of 59.
Valerie was born on February 6, 1966 in Austin, Texas, the daughter of Joe Perez Ramos and Virginia Corpus Storm and a uniquely native Austinite.
Words cannot express the void that this will leave, but it brings us great comfort in knowing that she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While she leaves a deep void in our hearts, we know that her love for people allowed her to fill countless voids in the lives of others.
Throughout her life, Valerie was known for her infectious smile, sense of humor and genuine love and interest in the lives of others. When her children were young, she homeschooled them until they were of Middle/High School age while also juggling her kids youth sports, and church activities. Valerie had the unique ability to make friends with strangers and in many cases lead them to Christ. She practiced what she preached and worked diligently to expand the kingdom of God.
Valerie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 39 years, Shawn A. Spradling, children Shawn-Avery Spradling and his wife Debora Leme Palmiere Spradling, Landon A. Spradling, Eliana C. Spradling, Briana N. Spradling, brother Joseph E. Ramos and his wife Jaqueline H. Ramos, sister Jeannette R. Morris and her husband, Scott Morris, Brother-in-law Mark R. Spradling and his wife, Susie Spradling, Brother-in-law Arthur J. Spradling and his wife Anastasia Panagiotou Spradling and Sister-in-laws Joy Spradling Wimmer and Cathy Black Spradling.
Valerie is survived by countless nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts, Uncles co-workers, students, friends and acquaintances who were touch by her life.
Valerie was preceded in death by Raymond P. Spradling Jr., Carol Booker Spradling, Thomas Alan Spradling, Martina Monroy Spradling and Bill Wimmer.
