ROCKY MOUNT – Valma Glenn Evans, age 66, son of the late James Evans Sr., and Onnie Mae Joyner Evans, was born May 18, 1958. He departed this life on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at UNC Nash Hospital in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
He attended Nash County Public Schools, and he was a loving father and friends to others.
Glenn was married to the late Bettie Lou Lancaster Evans. He is also proceeded in death by one daughter, Consuelo Evans, and brother, Clinton Evans.
Glenn leaves a lifetime of cherished memories for his family, son, McCrae Evans (Shantae); daughter, Debrona Evans; brother, James Evans, Jr. (Diane); and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Although you are gone, you are still in our hearts. The love you gave to us will continue on and on. The smile you always had on your face will be remembered as though you were still with us.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 661 English Road Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Erma Jenkins officiating. A visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 2:45PM prior to the service at Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Flowers are welcome.
