Vera Sosebee

Vera Sosebee, age 66, of Acworth, GA, passed away on June 20, 2025. Born on January 22, 1959, in Atlanta, GA, Vera lived a full life marked by her unwavering devotion to her family, her faith, and the simple joys that painted her everyday life with warmth and vibrance.
Vera treasured every moment as a wife, mom, and mawmaw. Her loved ones will forever remember the countless hours she spent playing board games, which not only filled their home with laughter and competitive spirit but also with the enduring bonds of kinship and love. Vera's nurturing presence was a cornerstone of her family's life, her caring and understanding nature making her an amazing person in the eyes of all who knew her.
She loved reading her bible and those who knew Vera were familiar with her amusing and endearing habit of always eating ice. She was a beacon of love and strength. Vera will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her legacy of love will always remain.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bobbie Freeman; brothers, Herbert "Herbie" Freeman and Danny Freeman; and granddaughter, Aleah Michelle Freeman.
Survivors are her husband of over 44 years, Allen Sosebee; children, Robert Sosebee, Herbert Freeman, Melissa Stepp, Charles Freeman (Rhonda), Billie Sosebee (Jerry) and Brandy Sosebee; thirteen grandchildren, Jocelyn, Bethany, Cayleb, Taylor, Payton, Bailey, Hailey, Nevaeh, Kailey, Lily, Brooklyn, Isaiah and Elijah; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Brenda Griffith, Diane Rustin and Little Dave Freeman; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Frank Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
