Vernon F. Cormier Jr.

Vernon F. Cormier, Jr., 79, passed away peacefully after a period of declining health on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Care One at Essex Park of Beverly. He was the son of the late Vernon F., Sr. and Adelaide (Henken) Cormier. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia (Rogers) Cormier.
Born and raised in Beverly, he graduated from Beverly High School, Class of 1964. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam era as an electronics technician in the United States Navy. Mr. Cormier held various positions in the telecommunications industry, retiring from Comcast in 2021. However, his true passion was model shipbuilding. Crafting beautifully detailed model ships from scratch, Mr. Cormier was the former president of the Massachusetts USS Constitution Model Shipwright Guild and had his works featured at the Topsfield Fair. Mr. Cormier devoted his spare time to his craft and his family. He was a loving father and husband, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Vernon Scott Cormier of Beverly.
Visiting hours for Mr. Cormier will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Wednesday, December 17th from 4 pm to 7 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
