Vernon Davis, affectionately known as “Veto”, departed this life and gain his wings on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the age of 42. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Vernon was a graduate of Fortier High School. He was employed as a School Bus Driver with Orleans Parish Public School System, and as a commercial truck driver. As an entrepreneur, Vernon produced several businesses, and was CEO of Krystal Restaurants. Through hard work and dedication, he invented and patented the Backpack for Bikers. Loving father of Jer’Nyz Hutchinson, Jer’Nya Davis, and Vernon Davis, Jr. Beloved son of Margaret Davis (Cleveland) Mitchell and George Hamilton, Jr. Grandson of the late Shirley J. and Charles O. Davis, and the late Florence and George Hamilton, Sr. Brother of George (Le’sean) Davis, Georgia Davis, and Tiffany “TIFFBBY” Davis. Vernon is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Home Ministries, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at New Home Ministries, 1616 Carondelet St., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Bishop Samuel Blakes, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above-named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
