Vicki Lynn Goding, age 76 of Greenfield, MN, passed away on November 13, 2024.
Vicki was born on December 12, 1947 in Ellendale, ND and shortly thereafter adopted by Carl and Lena (Anderson) Nelson.
In 1969 Vicki was united in marriage to Thomas Goding in California at the same church that her parents had been married. The couple soon moved to Minnesota where they raised their three children.
Vicki was a stay at home mom for many years until she became a home health nurse. She worked for North Memorial Home Hospice and loved the bonds she was able to create with people as they entered hospice care.
Tom and Vicki wintered in Rockport, TX for many years. Upon Tom's death in 2014 Vicki began to spend more time year around in Rockport, TX, but never lost her love for Minnesota.
Vicki was an avid golfer, she and Tom played many rounds of golf here in Minnesota and also in Texas. She loved to spend time in her gardens, had a "green thumb" and had numerous kitties over the years. Her greatest love though was found in the time she was able to spend with her grandkids. The time spent together and the memories made will be forever treasured by everyone involved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Lena "Grandma Margie" Nelson; husband, Thomas; son, Michael and grandson, Zach.
Vicki is survived by her children, Jeremy (Kelly) Goding and Juli (Robert) Schloeder; grandchildren, Kole, Ryan, Serena, Blade, Austin, Alayna, Brian, Lexa and Owen; daughter-in-law, Kris and brother, Jim (Cheryl) Nelson; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
