Vickie Jo (Nichols) Taylor, 52, of Richmond, formerly of Maryville, TN, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Vickie was born on January 24, 1971, in Richmond, the daughter of Kathryn Luella Zuklin. She was united in marriage to William Boyd "Billy" Taylor of Richmond; he survives of the home. They were married for 24 years.
Additional survivors include: five brothers: Mike (Cindy) Nichols of Richmond, Bryon Nichols of Richmond, Bill Nichols of Kearney, Kevin Nichols of Richmond, Allen (Tracy) Nichols of Richmond, and Donnie Nichols of Richmond; half-brother, Robert (Janet) Duncan of Richmond; two sisters, Pam (Rick) Lam of Camdenton and Ann (Kenneth) O'Dell of Richmond; half-sister, Susie (A.J.) Sandoval of San Antonio, TX; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn Luella Nichols, and her half-brother, Stephen Duncan, and his wife Pam.
Vickie was reared and educated in the area of her birth. She worked for the Walmart Corporation in Richmond, MO, Excelsior Springs, MO, and at Maryville-Alco, TN. Vickie loved boating and owned her own boat called, "Gotta-Go." She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, and radio-controlled X-Maxx Trucks. She was also fond of gardening, especially growing tomato plants. Vickie loved her fur babies. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
Services to be held at a later date by the family. Inurnment will be in Woodland Cemetery, Richmond. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of arrangements. Please remember to share your memories of Vickie with the family by visiting www.thurmanfuneralhome.com.

I only knew Vicki for a short period of time. I really enjoyed working/talking with her. I loved the joy on her face when her dog came to visit. So sorry for your loss.
