Vicky Sheryl Brown, 68, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at her home in Ashtabula.

She was born on March 1, 1957 in New Orleans, LA, the daughter of John Wesley and Agnes (Recard) Brown.

She graduated from John Adams High School, Class of 1976. Following graduation, she attended Kent State University where she earned her associates degree in childhood development. Vicky went on to build a long and meaningful career in childcare, dedicating 30 years to nurturing and caring for children beyond her own.Vicky was a dedicated member of Mt. Gillian Baptist Church in Cleveland where she handled all things videoography and sound. Her and her daughter moved from Cleveland to Ashtabula in 1994. In her free time, she enjoyed watching youtube videos, and spending time with her daughter and grandchildren.

Left to cherish the memories of Vicky is her daughter, Shavon Brown; grandchildren, Lillian and Bella Brown; siblings, Maureen Elaine Williams, Sharon (Warren) Essex, Keith Brown, and Edward Ray (Donna) Brown; her Aunt Beverly Charles; Uncle Roy Recard; and her beloved cousin, Stacey (David) Brown. Her family circle also includes a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Ricky and Louis Brown.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
