Victor Gerald Marrazzo ObituaryVictor Gerald Marrazzo, 65, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio, after a courageous ten-month battle with cancer.
Born on June 7, 1960, in Patterson, New Jersey, Victor was the son of Leo and Anne Marrazzo, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his beloved sister, Donna Favia, and was predeceased by his brother, Vincent Marrazzo.
Victor was married to the love of his life, Grace Marrazzo, for 33 years, a fact he proudly mentioned often. Together they built a family that became the center of his world. He leaves behind two children he adored: Carly Armstrong (Austin) and Vincent Marrazzo (Erin). He was recently promoted to his favorite title yet, Grandpa, to baby Madison Armstrong, who brought him immeasurable joy in her short time with him.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Victor carried his sense of duty, loyalty, and humor throughout his life. He was larger than life, hardworking, endlessly compassionate, and the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to a stranger. He was also famously funny, even if he was sometimes the only one laughing at his jokes. That never stopped him from telling them.
Victor's greatest passion was being a devoted husband and father. He cooked, cleaned, and took care of whatever he could so Grace never had to worry. He bragged about Carly and Vincent to friends, coworkers, and anyone willing to listen. Most of all, he cherished his role as a grandfather. The heartbreak of his passing is softened only by knowing how deeply he loved Madison, even in her earliest days.
He made everyone around him feel loved. His kindness and affable nature lightened every room. Victor lived with generosity, humor, and a full heart, and he leaves behind a legacy of warmth that will be remembered always.
Visiting hours will be held from 3PM ET to 8PM ET on Friday, November 21, at McMahon-Coyne- Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street (Rt. 615, N. of Rt. 2), Mentor, Ohio.
A funeral Mass will take place at 11AM ET on Saturday, November 22 at St. John Vianney (7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor, OH 44060) with a luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Victor's name to the Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio.
