My husband and I sat with Vic and Peggyann at our last NJ reunion for Holy Trinity High School class of 1961.

What a humble and lovely man!.. Peggyann was charming. WE had no idea of his accomplishments until we read his obituary. A giving life. RIP Vic

My sincere condolences to Victor´s family. Victor and I were premeds at PC. Both of us went on to medical school. We both elected to take a course in Research under the supervision of Dr Donald Leary. We studied rooting responses.

As was Kevin Beebe, first obit responder above, I was an Aquinas 4 dorm mate of Vic at Providence College. We also shared our birthday. All PC '65 men should recall Vic's artistic talent. He drew the Friar dribbling the basketball on the banner(bedsheet) that hung from our windows for NIT '62. Way back then, PC frosh had to memorize the alma mater(music is Sibelius' Finlandia) Vic memorized it and, in practising medicine half a century, lived it: ".......all fearless now, we brave life's hour."

I just found out yesterday about Dr.Tuma passing. We last saw him in August at my son's well visit and yesterday we went for the 1st time for a sick visit and he was not there. I was surprised not to see him. Dr.Tuma was not only my children's Dr for the last 20+years but he started at Metuchen pediatrics back when I was a kid. He was so beloved by my siblings and I , that I chose to bring my kids to him as well. He will be missed.A great man who spoke highly of his kids and grandchildren and also a great doctor.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Dr. Tuma was a client of mine for over 25 years. He was always in a good mood and I looked forward to our meetings. Only having known Dr. Tuma for the 2 years of my son's life. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was very supportive and understanding and relatable to me when I lost my husband a year ago and gave me sound advice and reassured me I was doing everything right by my son. God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Though we´ve only known Dr. Tuma for a short amount of time, he eased my fears and worrrs as an expectant mother and then as our daughter became his patient, we were sure she was in great hand with Dr. Tuma. To help a first time mom along this wild journey, no one has done for me what Dr. Tuma had done-made me feel seen and heard even when I didn´t know I needed it. He constantly reassured me my instincts were correct and to trust myself, I will hold onto this confidence he gave me and an honored to have met him.

So grateful for the care Dr.Tuma provided to my 2 boys from birth to 18 yrs of age! They always got a kick out of having to `count the seagulls´ on the wall painting to distract them when getting a vaccine. Fond memories of a caring and wise person. He surely left his mark in this world and will be missed.

Dr Victor Tuma has been there for both of my children since they were born. He always made the girls smile and myself especially at times when I was that worried parent bringing in a sick child ! Any advice he ever gave me always was so valuable, especially coming from someone in this practice for as long as he has been. We will all deeply miss him and I know my girls will be very upset .

My sincerest condolences to Heather, Craig, Gary and Glenn. Some of my favorite childhood memories include Dr and Mrs. Tuma and when I think of them it brings a smile to my face. I am grateful for that and to their friendship they extended to my dear parents. I informed both my sister and brother Rosemary and Sam and they were very sad to hear of this news. My brother said it very simply, “Dr. Tuma was a very kind man.”
