Victoria Q. Brown Henry

Victoria Q. Brown Henry (affectionately known as "Nana") was granted her angel wings on March 26, 2023 to rest in eternal peace. A devoted military wife, mother, grandmother great-grandmother and great great-grandmother, she put the interests of her family first above all. She was a woman of deep faith.
The third child of the late Elijah and Eunice Brown, Vikki was born May 25, 1923 in Cochran, Virginia. She was educated and a graduate of the Plainfield Public Schools and attended Union County College. With a deep faith in God, Vikki received Christ and the Holy Ordinance of Baptism at Shiloh Baptist Church and remained a faithful member. Her involvement included Sunday school teacher, women fellowship ministry and cell group 8.
A devoted military wife, Victoria was united in Holy Matrimony February 7, 1943 to Ben E. Henry. Their union was the first military wedding to be held at Shiloh Baptist Church. Their love story began 1942 at Camp Kilmer in Edison, New Jersey.
Vikki retired from the Piscataway Public Schools after ten years of service. As a trailblazer in the community, she received the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Eta Omicron Zeta chapter Woman of the Year award.
Predeceased by her loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elijah and Eunice Brown, her devoted husband, Mr. Ben Henry, son Mr. Dale Henry, brothers Mr. Walter Brown, Rev. James Brown, Mr. Theodore Brown and sister Mrs. Hattie Frieson.
She leaves to cherish her memories; two daughters: Joan Twine and Virginia H. Smith; 3 grandchildren: Donald Twine, Donna Smith, and Erick Smith; 7 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and a host of family members and friends.
