Victoria Nebeker Petersen passed away on September 1, 2024, following a prolonged battle with illness. She was born on April 7, 1941, to Garth G. Nebeker and La Jeune Williams Nebeker, who precede her in death. Victoria is remembered by her children Eric John, Mark (Janeen), Elizabeth (Loren), and Dane (Cindy), along with her seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and her brother Todd Nebeker.

Victoria grew up in Midvale, graduating from Jordan High School and later studied at Utah State University. Throughout her high school and college years, she participated in numerous activities and productions, notably earning the title of Queen of Fort Union Days. Afterward, she pursued a career in radiology, working as an X-ray Technician, where she met her husband, Michael Petersen. They were married on April 15, 1966, and welcomed four children together. However, their marriage ended in divorce in 1983, and as a single parent, she persevered to raise her 4 children while taking on various roles in healthcare and business administration.

Victoria raised her children amidst the stunning landscapes of Utah, while also cherishing the tranquility found in the ocean and rainforests of the Pacific Northwest. Inspired by her mother's passion for writing, she achieved success in various writing competitions during her youth. A fan of British television and murder mysteries, she often channeled her creativity into crafting her own adaptations of these shows. With a deep appreciation for the arts and a love for classical music, Victoria possessed a unique talent for enhancing the beauty around her. Surrounded by dogs, cats, goats, horses, and mules during her childhood, she instilled a deep love for animals in her children, who now welcome these furry companions into their own families, frequently adopting them from rescues.

We love you, Mom, and take comfort in knowing that your reunion with your parents in Heaven was filled with love and warm embraces; we will miss you deeply until we meet again.

A private gathering will take place for her children and their spouses on Friday, September 6th, 2024, from 2 to 4 PM at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, Utah.
