Vincent Conti Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, Inc. on Jan. 16, 2026.
Vincent J. Conti, of Harrison, N.Y., passed away on January 14, 2026. The Harrison community may know him as "Vinny" but most called him Jimmy, as did his family. Jimmy was born in NYC, Manhattan, to Beatrice and Nicholas Conti (predeceased.) Jimmy is survived by his beloved siblings Mary (Ernie-predeceased,) Richie (Annette,) Kerry (Gary,) in addition to Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, cousins, a great niece, a "Mother & Father in law" who called him their second son, and his wife's family, all who loved him so much.
Jimmy leaves behind Maria, his loving wife of 23 years, together since 1998.They met in Maria's office while at work, and their relationship was just meant to be. They share one child, Rachel, and a sweet rescue dog-Leo. Jimmy and Maria spent many summers on the beach, relaxing in the sun, swimming in the ocean, seeing every Rod Stewart concert they could find and planning a future they dreamed of together. Jimmy's favorite place to visit was Aruba, he would say "like heaven on earth."
In his younger years, Jimmy loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle until the year 1981. He worked for FedEx in Stamford, CT, and more recently, his favorite pastime was at home watching movies under a blanket with Leo, who provided Jimmy with countless hours of calming comfort over the past 8 years.
Jimmy attended Cardinal Hayes High School for 3 years, then transferred to Christopher Columbus High School in the Bronx where he graduated in 1972. During this time Jimmy was a star football player and was always the fastest runner on the field. Over the years, Jimmy continued his love for sports while coaching little league baseball and football. He was a diehard NY Yankees fan, never missed watching a single game. He also loved the NY Giants, Knicks and Islanders.
What Jimmy loved the most were his family and friends. His time spent talking about sports were his favorite. He could tell you details of every Yankees game from 25 years ago. Through many health challenges over the last 20 years, Jimmy always had one motivation to get him through the toughest days, his love for Rachel. He watched her as a child playing at the park after school, saw her excel in school studying to become a teacher, and had so much pride watching her dance on stage with countless recitals.
