Virginia Gonzales Rios, a beloved matriarch and lifelong resident of Beeville, Texas, was born on November 27, 1955, in the same town she called home for her entire life. Her tender heart and nurturing soul were the cornerstones of her family, and her absence has left an irreplaceable void. Virginia's life was defined by her unwavering devotion to her family and her community. Although she never formally entered the workforce, she was a tireless worker in her own right, dedicating her life to the well-being and happiness of her loved ones.
Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Santiago Rios Jr., her parents, Castulo and Rafaela Gonzales, and her siblings, Antonio Gonzales, Maria Luisa Gonzales, and Ruben Gonzales.
Virginia is survived by her children, Salome Gonzales, Jose (Priscilla) Luis Gonzales, Candelario Rios, Santiago Rios III, David Rios, Valerie Rios, and Jennifer (Christopher) Cuevas, and her grandchildren whom she raised, Brittany Coronado, Dominic Rios, and Janaye Rios. Virginia is also survived by her sisters Adelita B. Gonzales, Rosalinda Silva, Mary Lou Cantu, and Maria Christina Chavarria. Each one of them carries a piece of Virginia's spirit, embodying her kindness, her generosity, and her indomitable spirit.
Visitation for Virginia will be held at Trevino Funeral Home on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 5:00pm - 8:00pm, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.
Pallbearers will be David Anthony Rios, Andrew Justin Gonzales, Dominic Rios, Isaac Medellin, Ruben Gonzales, and Wyatt Rios.
Virginia's legacy will continue to live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared. Those who knew her are encouraged to share memories, photos, and tributes on her memorial page. Each story and picture adds another layer to the tapestry of her wonderful life, ensuring her memory will continue to inspire and uplift us all for generations to come.
