Viginia Marie Schumann, 76, beloved wife of Richard Schumann, of New Britain, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. She was born on May 8, 1948 in Cahoes, NY, a daughter of the late Philip and Ruth (LeClair) Lafebvre.
Virginia enjoyed the simple things in life; tending to her garden and enjoying at day at the beach.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Christopher Mason of New Britain; her siblings, Jacqueline (Gieseppe) Sita of Columbia, SC, Julienne (Timothy) Custy of Meriden, and Edward (Judith) Lefebve of Meriden; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Les Mason; her sons, Richard Mason and Robert Mason; and her siblings, Ruth-Ann Podgorsky; William Lefebvre, Louis Lefebvre, and Philip Lefebvre Jr.
Services and interment in St. Laurent Cemetery, Meriden, will be held privately. Arrangements under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home.
