Virginia Ann Scogin, 78, passed away surrounded by her loving family, Wednesday, September 7, 2022.
Celebration of Life will be held 10 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2022, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Eddie Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
Virginia was born October 19, 1943, to Ernest and Pearl Irene Medlin Day in Nashville, TN. She grew up in Ashland City, TN with 5 brothers and sisters. She married the love of her life, William H. Scogin, Jr. in December of 1962, and they settled in Clarksville, TN where they raised 3 children Jackie, William, and Chris.
Virginia's passion for racing led to a life of work owning and managing Scogin Enterprises for many years selling race parts and sponsoring her race team. She could be found on Saturday nights wherever the race was. Above everything, Virginia loved her family more than anything.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William H. Scogin Jr.; brother, Bubba Day; grandsons, Dustin Scogin and Thomas "T.J." Perry.
She leaves behind her beloved children, Jackie (Mark) Perry, William (Laura) Scogin, and Chris Scogin; long-time family friend, Trina B. Lehman; grandchildren, Magan (Ty), Brandon (Chelsea), Gracie, and Jake; grandchildren by marriage, Mariah, Andrea, Heather, and John; great-grandchildren, Austin, Madalynn, Trenton, Tristin, Jackson, Mason, and Everleigh. siblings, Margie Judd, Barbara Utley, Wayne Day, Jerry Day, Michael Day and Mark Day.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas Jacob Perry Memorial Scholarship University Advancement, APSU Box 4417, Clarksville, TN 37044
